FOUR MORE YEARS!!!

Wow!  What an Election night we had here in WA state!  There’s such excitement and great feelings in the air today!  We have Obama for another 4 Years!  Voters are narrowly approving Referendum 74 to legalize same sex marriage, and a lot of  people have high hopes for its passing.  And of course, I-502 has passed and we are now the first state to legalize marijuana!  Adults over 21 will be able to buy and possess up to 1 oz of pot. The actual sales could take up to a year or more to start (all the rules and laws have to be written).  Of course, we have to wait and see what the Feds have to say about it too because Federal law trumps State law any day.

We say, it’s time to stop wasting time and money prosecuting marijuana use -  just Legalize it and Tax it!

WA is ready!

Marine Life Center 10/27/12

Last Saturday, we visited the Marine Life Center.  There is a large touch tank where we got to reach in (to REALLY cold water) and touch starfish, sea anemones, sea weed, hermit crabs, and fish.  We decided to avoid any of the crabs.  Did you know all starfish look and feel different?  Well, now I do J.
The kids wore goggles and binoculars to help get a closer look at the animals in tanks that we couldn’t touch like octopus, shrimp, and very large Koi fish.
Fun and Educational - just the way we like it!

Well, it’s getting chilly here in Bellingham.  We really do love the Fall here, the leaves and changing colors and it’s so beautiful!
For Halloween, we went trick-or-treating at our mall because it was a rainy night. Bly dressed as Captain America and Karmela was Silvermist (one of the Tinkerbell fairies).
Karmela is LOVING Kindergarten!  She’s on a full day schedule but she has already gotten used to the longer day at school.  She rides the bus home every day with her friends.  She has P.E. on Mondays, Music class twice a week and Spanish class every Friday.  Karmela said she really enjoys her Spanish class and ella lo está haciendo muy bien!
Bly is so big now.  He’s 2 ½ and what a big vocab our little man has.  Bly loves to sing the Alphabet song, color, and paint.  Bly has made a few friends at daycare; he has really adjusted and he is doing great!  He even has a nickname from his teachers at daycare, Pumpkin :)
We've already started shopping for our Thanksgiving meal and Christmas decor.  Don't worry, we believe in giving each holiday equal celebration time, so we will refrain from putting up the Christmas decor until the day after Thanksgiving!
